On Which Subject Should I Focus for the Bank PO Preparation

The candidates opting for banking jobs need to start preparation immediate after they apply for the same. The banking exams consist of written test and personal interview round conducted by the recruitment authority. The candidates need to prepare well in each of the subjects of the written test to score the required cut off marks. Among the subjects, there are a few which requires special attention of the candidates. They should try and find out the subjects in which they are weak and work accordingly to make it perfect. The banking examination generally consists of General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Aptitude, English Language and Computer Knowledge papers. Among these papers most of the candidates fear the English Language and Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning paper the most. Many of them candidates see Quantitative Aptitude (QA) as an evil, and fear it among the three of them.  Hence, the first and foremost job of the candidates is to go through the examination syllabus well and chalk out their areas of interest and weakness clearly. After doing so the candidates can focus on individual subjects that require their attention to the fullest.
Focusing on the English Language:
The Banking examinations   are bilingual except the English Language section.  But a large number of candidates fear of this particular subject/section in the examination. The English language paper tests the Reading Comprehension, Grammar, Sentence Formation Skills, Writing Ability, Vocabulary and overall knowledge of the language. The candidates who are weak in this language face severe problems and hence should focus more on this paper   in their preparatory stages. They should undergo the basics of English grammar and understand the nuances associated with it. They should cultivate regular habit of English reading, to enhance their comprehension skills. The candidates should also develop a regular writing habit as well, that helps in understanding newer sentence formation tricks and helps generate confidence on the subject. Reading materials from sources ranging from online to offline, allows the candidates to find new words and make their vocabulary more strong. The English language paper also helps candidates achieving the overall cut off mark easily as it can take lesser time than solving the quantitative aptitude or logical reasoning paper. Candidates having proper idea and knowledge about the language can score the cut off marks easily and move through to the next round of selection.
Focusing on Quantitative Aptitude and Logical Reasoning Paper:
The candidates opting for banking examination often fell flat at these two papers. They are very time consuming and tricky papers to solve and thus requires immense practice to master. These papers can decide whether a candidate could make the necessary cut off or not. These papers make candidates stuck while giving the examination and can lower their confidence thoroughly. Hence, the candidates should make a plan in their preparatory stages for these papers. They should undergo tricks, methods, strategies and shortcuts to approach these questions and answer them with in time. There has to be a proper channelized outlook to approach these papers from the candidates and should be addressed with utmost care. Candidates need to get back to their basics to solve the problem associated with quantitative aptitude and shed the fear associated with the language.  General Awareness (GA) & Computer Knowledge is easy sections in Bank exams and candidates can easily clear the sectional cutoff of both.
