Indian Space Research Organisation-Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (ISRO-IIRS) invited applications for recruitment to the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for various research projects. Name of the Post: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
Name of the Project:
  • Soil – Vegetation – Atmosphere Flux Monitoring (National Carbon Project): 1 post
  • Climate change impact on productivity of food grain and plantation crops: 1 post
  • Monitoring and Assessment of Ecosystem Processes & Services in North- Western Himalaya sub-theme – 4: Water Resource Status and Availability: 1 post
  • Remote sensing, ground observations and integrated modeling based early warning system for climate extremes of North West Himalayan region: 1 post
  • Thermal anomaly detection and monitoring of Coal Fire in the Gondwana Coalfields of India using Time-series Coarse Resolution Multispectral TIR Data and Impact Analysis (EOAM Project): 1 post
  • Development of frame work for processing ROVs Video data and validation of bathymetry from EO Sensor: 1 post
Eligibility Criteria for ISRO-IIRS JRF Posts:
Educational/Technical Qualification & Experience:
  • Soil – Vegetation – Atmosphere Flux Monitoring (National Carbon Project): MSc in Agriculture Physics/Agriculture Meteorology/Plant Physiology/Agronomy/Environmental Science/Ecology/Atmospheric sciences/Physics OR M.Tech Remote Sensing & GIS with specialization in Agriculture/Ecology and should be NET or equivalent qualified.
  • Climate change impact on productivity of food grain and plantation crops: MSc in Agriculture Meteorology/Agriculture Physics/Agronomy/Plant Physiology/Environmental Sciences OR B.Tech (Agri./Agri. IT) with two years experience in RS & GIS/M.Tech in Remote Sensing & GIS with specialization in Agriculture and environmental sciences and should be NET or equivalent qualified.
  • Monitoring and Assessment of Ecosystem Processes & Services in North- Western Himalaya sub-theme – 4: Water Resource Status and Availability: M.Tech in Agriculture Engineering/Civil Engineering/Computer Sciences/Remote Sensing and GIS/Geomatics or equivalent OR MSc in Hydrology/Atmospheric Sciences/Physics/Mathematics/Geography/Geo-informatics or equivalent and should be NET or equivalent qualified.
  • Remote sensing, ground observations and integrated modeling based early warning system for climate extremes of North West Himalayan region: M.Tech in Agriculture Engineering/Civil Engineering/Computer Sciences/Remote Sensing and GIS/Geomatics or equivalent OR MSc in Hydrology/Atmospheric Sciences/Physics/Mathematics/Geography/Geo-informatics or equivalent and should be NET or equivalent qualified.
  • Thermal anomaly detection and monitoring of Coal Fire in the Gondwana Coalfields of India using Time-series Coarse Resolution Multispectral TIR Data and Impact Analysis (EOAM Project): Master Degree in Geology or Geophysics/Applied Geology or Applied Geophysics and related disciplines with working knowledge in Remote Sensing & GIS OR B.E. or B.Tech in Mining Engg./Geosciences/Computer Science & Engg./IT with M.Tech in Remote Sensing and GIS/Geomatics and should be NET or equivalent qualified.
  • Development of frame work for processing ROVs Video data and validation of bathymetry from EO Sensor: M.Tech/MSc in Geoinformatics/Remote Sensing/Geomatics or equivalent with BE/Civil/Electronics/Electrical/Computer Science or MSc Physics/Oceanography/Marine Sciences and should be NET or equivalent qualified.
Age Limit for ISRO-IIRS JRF Posts:  Maximum 30 years (Age Relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PWD/Women, as per Govt. Rules) 
Selection Process for ISRO-IIRS JRF Posts:
Candidates will be selected on the basis of performance in interview.
