Eligibility Criteria for Meghalaya Public Service Commission Various Jobs:
Educational Qualification:
  • Senior Research Officer under Fishery Department- Ph.D in Fishery Science with 3 (three) years experience. Knowledge of Khasi, Jaintia, Garo language is essential.
  • Chemical Examiner under the Commissioner of Excise- M.Sc in Chemistry. Preference will be given to candidates with Degree/ Diploma in Ecology.
  • Inspector of Drugs under Health & Family Welfare Department- The candidate must possess a degree in Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Sciences or Medicine with specialization in Clinical Pharmacology or Microbiology from any recognised university established in India by law.
  • Assistant Engineer (Civil) in the Directorate of Fisheries- Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) Degree holder from any Institution / University recognised by Government of Meghalaya. The post is transferable within the State.
  • Law Officer under Law Department- Candidates must have passed Degree in Law from any recognised University.
  • Assistant Geologist under the Directorate of Mineral Resources- Master Degree in Geology or Applied Geology from any  recognised University either in India or abroad
  • Mining Officer under the Directorate of Mineral Resources- Bachelor Degree in Mining Engineering from any recognised institution either in India or abroad.
  • Drilling Engineer under the Directorate of Mineral Resources- Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering conversant with handling of different types of Core Drilling operation
  • Chemist under the Directorate of Mineral Resources- Master Degree in Chemistry from any recognised University either in India or abroad
  • Industrial Promotion Officer / Assistant Industries Officer / Superintendent of Industries- Graduate in any branch of Engineering (except Civil Engineering) from any Government recognized University.
  • Dairy officer under the Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Department- B. Tech (Dairy Technology) from any recognised University.
  • Assistant Analyst under the Commissioner of Excise- M.Sc in Chemistry. Preference will be given to candidates with Degree /Diploma in ecology.
  • Ayurvedic Physician under Health & Family Welfare Department- Candidate must be a   BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) holder from any recognised institutions of India or a broad with 1 (one) year of compulsory internship from any recognised institution under the second schedule of Indian Medicine Central Council Act,1970.
  • Deputy Inspector of Electricity in the Inspectorate of Electricity- B.E (Electrical) from a recognised University. The selected candidate is required to undertake extensive tour within the state and outside and cope with strenuous nature of work
  • Assistant Lecturer in English in Government Higher Secondary Schools under Education Department- 2nd Class Master Degree in English subject with B.Ed Degree.
  • Assistant Lecturer in MIL (Khasi) in Government Higher Secondary Schools under Education Department- 2nd Class Master Degree in Khasi subject with B.Ed Degree.
  • Assistant Lecturer in Physics in Government Higher Secondary   Schools under Education Department- 2nd Class Master Degree in Physics subject with B.Ed Degree.
  • Assistant Lecturer in Chemistry in Government Higher Secondary Schools under Education Department- 2nd Class Master Degree in Chemistry subject with B.Ed Degree.
  • Assistant Lecturer in Mathematics in Government Higher Secondary Schools under Education Department- 2nd Class Master Degree in Mathematics subject with B.Ed Degree.
  • Assistant Teacher (Garo)- The minimum qualification is Graduate with Honours in Garo with B.Ed. Preference will be given to Post Graduate with B.Ed and having Teaching experience in ICSE Syllabus.
  • Assistant Teacher (Physics) in Shillong Public school- Graduate with Honours in Physics from recognised University in India and having B.Ed. Preference will be given to Post Graduate candidates in the subject  with teaching experience preferably in the ICSE System and having B.Ed.
  • Sub-Inspector of Statistics under the Directorate of Economics & Statistics- Graduate in Arts / Science / Commerce with Mathematics, Statistics or Economics as one of the subject in the degree course.
  • Piano Instructor in the Directorate of Arts & Culture - Graduate in any discipline from a recognised University in India. Grade IV in Theory and Grade VIII in Practical in Piano Forte / Electronic Keyboard.
  • Khasi Dance Instructor in the Directorate of Arts & Culture- Graduate in any discipline from a recognised University in India. Knowledge in Indigenous Khasi Dance supported with Certificate, testimonial and other related documents.
  • Assistant Teacher Geography in Government Girls H.S.S. Jowai- Graduate with Geography as one of the subject in the Degree Level from a recognised University. B. Ed Degree is essential.
  • Deputy Librarian in Government Colleges- Master Degree in Library Science and Information Science / Documentation with at least 55% of the marks or its equivalent grade of B in the UGC seven point scale and a consistently good academic record.
  • Assistant Teacher Science (Life Science) in Government Secondary Schools- Graduate in Science (Botany & Zoology) with B.Ed from a recognised University.
